Job description

We are now looking for a post-doc who will work at the Department of Chemistry at the School of Engineering Sciences in Chemistry, Biotechnology and Health (CBH). The employment as post-doc will be focused on the design, synthesis and application of ionic liquids, which in turn will be employed for inorganic synthesis at low temperature. The scientific work will include both be independent and in a research team. The research will be performed in an active, international, multi-disciplinary scientific environment at KTH.

Qualifications

Requirements

We are looking for candidates that have:

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree in physical or inorganic chemistry, with a specialization in inorganic synthesis. This eligibility requirement must be met no later than the time the employment decision is made.
  • Previously proven experience from work with ionic liquids.
  • Good collaborative abilities as well as ability to work independently. 

Preferred qualifications

Previous experience from the synthesis of ionic liquids is preferred. Experience from structural analysis of liquid structure characterization is especially meriting.

It is also preferred that you have:

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree, obtained within the last three years prior to the application deadline.
  • Good teaching abilities.
  • Awareness of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal skills.

About the employment

The position offered is for, at the most, two years.

A position as a postdoctoral fellow is a time-limited qualified appointment focusing mainly on research, intended as a first career step after a dissertation.
