The Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine (FSTM) contributes multidisciplinary expertise in the fields of Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, Life Sciences and Medicine. Through its dual mission of teaching and research, the FSTM seeks to generate and disseminate knowledge and train new generations of responsible citizens, in order to better understand, explain and advance society and environment we live in.

The Medical and Nursing Education of the faculty is in a constant development. The Simulation training Unit is a full installation, equipped with task-trainers, endoscopy and imaging simulators, high technicity mannequins, medical material, monitoring platform, that requires a constant care and supervision to guaranty its availability for teaching activities. In this frame, the Medical and nursing Education teams aim at hiring a highly skilled candidate for this position.

Your Role...

  • Ensure the maintenance and update of equipment
  • Manage the inventory and storage of equipment
  • Ensure consumable management and reconditioning use
  • Prepare teaching and exam sessions and assist the teaching staff
  • Contribute to the development and to the visibility of the simulation training unit
  • Contribute to the smooth coordination of planning educational activities
  • Contribute to the purchase of new equipment in liaison with the Procurement office

What we expect from you…

  • Bachelor degree in biology or in medical, nursing or allied health care field
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience, ideally in:
    • the scientific domain
    • the health sector (nurse educators …) and educators for allied healthcare professionals
    • simulation training
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows operating systems and PC software
  • Profound communication skills with educational proficiency
  • Fluent in at least 2 of the 3 languages of the University (French, German, English), Luxemburgish is considered as an advantage
