This position will report directly to Director of Enrollment Management

Job Profile Summary:

This is a new position in a start-up university setting. The Enrollment Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Enrollment Management frontline staff, and to support the growth and development of the staff through developmental direction, feedback, training, and goal development respective to their work.  The Manager will regularly hold one-on-one and team meetings, and ensure policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed. In addition to supervising Enrollment Officer frontline staff, this position will develop and administer admission and registration workflow policy to ensure that high levels of customer service are provided to students. 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervises front-line Enrollment Management staff and provides operational support for admission, registration, and related activities.
  • Manages the activities of Enrollment Management to include planning, implementing, administering, and evaluating projects and services impacting the university from an admission/registration perspective.
  • Oversees shift management and staff scheduling.
  • Collects and analyzes complex data and information regarding admission, registration, and online processes.
  • Assists in developing and administering university policies and procedures for the admission and registration of all students, including new, transfer, former, continuing, credit, and non-credit students.
  • Assists in the development of communication plans for admission and the enrollment of students.
  • Provides training to frontline staff to ensure superior customer service.
  • Monitors components of the department budget, ensuring compliance with applicable restraints.
  • Implements and allocates resources following budget approval.
  • Oversees the issuing of student/staff identification cards and related equipment and supplies.
  • Publishes the schedule of admission and registration dates and times.
  • Establishes and maintains an admission and registration annual calendar of events and tracks benchmark activities.
  • Maintains the admissions and registration website.
  • Oversees processes regarding scholarship applications, candidate selection, and the monitoring of scholarship of recipients.
  • Resolves complex student and technical issues as required.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Experience And Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited tertiary institution.
  • Minimum of five years of student advising experience in higher education admission/registration, or student services, including two years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with database/student information systems (preferably PeopleSoft Campus Solutions).

Knowledge, Skills, And Competencies:

  • Excellent English written and verbal skills.
  • Detailed-oriented, well organized, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of supervisory principles.
  • Knowledge of budgeting principles and practices.
