IE University´s School of Science and Technology (Sci-Tech) invites qualified applicants for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in Computer Science beginning September 2024, in Madrid. We are currently offering three positions in this area. To guarantee full consideration for a position, applications must be completed before January 30th, 2024.

High-impact research and teaching excellence are central to the mission of IE Sci-Tech. In line with this mission, we are currently expanding our team of foundational research faculty. We are seeking to strengthen IE’s program for cutting-edge research across fields such as data science, applied mathematics, machine learning, AI, and robotics. 

We seek applicants with a proven research background who are capable of establishing and leading their own research lines. We welcome candidates with strong profiles in computer science, for example in algorithm design, optimization, artificial intelligence, or software engineering, or in related fields, including (but not limited to) human-computer interaction, robotics, computer vision, or complex systems. About IE University and the School of Science and Technology

IE University is an internationally recognized institution originally founded as a business school. Qualifications

  • PhD in computer science/engineering or a related discipline.
  • Excellence in research evidenced primarily by sustained contributions and publications in top-ranked and field relevant journals.
  • Independence and leadership in their research field, evidenced via funded research projects in competitive calls. New faculty is expected to submit research proposals to attract research funds.
  • Ability to participate in applied research and knowledge transfer in interdisciplinary teams at the interface between technical and application-oriented domains.
  • Strong interest in teaching courses in computer science, software engineering and related fields.
